Chicken Pox is a highly contagious disease that mostly affects children, particularly the ones below 12 years of age.   • Prepare a decoction by taking two cups of boiling water and adding one teaspoon of coltsfoot leaves, two tablespoons of queen of the meadow and two teaspoons of marigold flowers in it. Boil the mixture, strain it after about twenty minutes and finally let it cool. Taking one cup of this tea on a daily basis is one of the most highly beneficial home remedies for Chicken Pox.
  • Applying honey on the red spots is a highly recommended natural home remedy in the treatment of the blisters developed during the course of the disease.

Diet for Chicken Pox

The diet for Chicken Pox is aimed at a speedy recovery from the disease and providing relief from the irritating red rashes/blisters spread throughout the body. For this, the diet should consist of sufficient amounts of vitamin E which aids in the healing process of the skin. Applying Vitamin E oil is a highly recommended remedy in curing Chicken Pox. Vitamin B12 found in the dairy products is highly beneficial in curing the disease. The patient should liberally consume juices of raw fruits and vegetables. Lemon juice is quite effective in this regard. The patient is also advised to drink plenty of water to keep the body well hydrated.
