Having a great simile is what most people want to possess, a healthy smile boosts self-confidence and lifts up self-esteem. But, there are obstacles that you have to protect your smile from.

Bad Breath (Halitosis)
is an oral health condition associated with dental problems such as tooth decay, bacteria on tongue, gum disease, etc.

Tooth Decay
Also known as dental caries or cavities, it occurs when plaque (a sticky film of bacteria that forms when you eat sugars or starch), is allowed to linger on teeth for a long period of time. Plaque then produces acids that attack the tooth enamel, making it vulnerable.

Gum Disease
Infection of Gums surrounding the teeth that causes tooth loss in most adults.

Mouth Sores
There are two types of sores: canker sores are non-virus based and caused by everything from stress to a hereditary predilection; and herpes, which is virus-based and contagious (through direct contact, like kissing, or sharing things like drinking glasses).

Yellow Teeth
this can be acquired from the food we eat, especially often intakes of red wine and coffee; but might also be natural.

Tooth Sensitivity
the root surface of the teeth can be permanently exposed if the gums recede, causing the sensitivity on cold and heat.

Wisdom Teeth
We're are all going to have wisdom teeth, but our jaw may not handle extra teeth and will just erupt partly, causing bacteria to lurk into the soft tissue of the non-erupted part covering of the wisdom tooth.

Tooth Erosion
Tooth erosion is the loss of tooth structure and is caused by acid attacking the enamel. Exposure to acid, primarily from soda or citrus drinks, can wear down the surface of the teeth, making them rounded and discolored.

Oral Cancer
An oral cancer may start with a small, pale, red, painless lump on some area of the mouth. A dentist can easily screen for the disease by examining and feeling around a patient's mouth, head, and neck.

Prevention is always better than cure. Having your teeth protected from these deseases prevent you from feeling the hurt, pain and the hassle that you will experience if you have them. But, its always a good habbit to go to your dentist once in a while, to get a check on your oral health, because, your teeth will be more taken care of, and will keep them healthy and keep your self always confident with your smile!
